NBC’s Lester Holt features a story about the opening of “Miracle Field” in Murfreesboro, TN.
Miracle Field opened May 6 and was spearheaded by Murfreesboro native and Red Sox pitcher David Price. Fundraising for the $3.2 million complex was sponsored in part by Price’s foundation, Project One Four.
The baseball field is wheelchair accessible and made of rubberized turf, giving children with special needs a rare opportunity to play the game Price loves in the very park he learned to play. In addition to the ball field, the complex includes an inclusive playground that benefits all children with accessible ramps and turf, sensory stations and an easy-to-ride zipline, plus many other features. There are also covered bleachers, concessions and picnic table seating.
